Galapagos multisport tours This seven day tour offers an alternative to discovering the Galapagos Islands through daily active excursions which may include kayaking, mountain biking, trekking, snorkeling and horseback riding. The Galapagos Multi-sport Adventure is an ideal vacation for adventure travel enthusiasts, combining sport activities in a unique nature destination.
ITINERARYDay 1 Transfer from San Cristobal Airport to the hotel, welcome lunch and short briefing about Galapagos. In the afternoon our adventure begins with a hike to the San Cristobal Interpretation Center, later we visit Frigate Hill where you will have your first contact with some of the endemic species of these Enchanted Islands. After breakfast we will visit Kicker Rock on San Cristobal Island, one of the most beautiful spots in Galapagos, where we will snorkel admiring the colorful species of the ocean. Lunch, then in the afternoon we will kayak around San Cristobal Bay discovering the natural wonders that this island has to offer. (B,L)
In the morning we will take a fast boat ride to Santa Cruz Island, where we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and in the afternoon we will have the opportunity to visit Tortuga Bay or kayak around the island. (B,L)
Day 4 After breakfast we will be travel to the Highlands of Santa Cruz where we will visit the famous giant tortoises in their natural habitat. After lunch return to Puerto Ayora by mountain bike - a great adventure. (B,L)
After breakfast we will board a fast boat that will take us to Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island. On arrival we hike up into the highlands, observing land birds such as finches, flycatchers, and hawks. After lunch we will have a tour of the bay visiting “Las Tintoreras” - a great place to spot the Galapagos white tip shark and thousands of marine iguanas, snorkelling around the bay. (B,L,D)
After an early breakfast we will head up to the highlands, prepare our horses and start our ride to the rim of Sierra Negra Volcano. From here we can enjoy the most amazing experience, hiking along a recent eruption of this volcano. Lunch and free afternoon. (B,L,D)
In the morning after an unforgettable nature expedition in Galapagos we will return to Baltra to catch our flight back to Quito. (B, L) 2010 DEPARTURES
